SnipStash · Effective 18 August 2026

SnipStash is a snippet organizer for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your information. It is short because the app collects very little.

The short version SnipStash has no accounts, no servers of ours, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. Your snippets are stored on your device and, if you enable it, synced through your own private iCloud account — which we cannot access. The custom keyboard never records, stores, or transmits anything you type.

What SnipStash stores

Everything you save — snippet text, titles, tags, folders, and any images or files you attach — is stored locally on your device inside a shared app container, so the main app, the Share Extension, and the keyboard can all read the same library.

iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud, SnipStash mirrors your library to your private CloudKit database using Apple's SwiftData and CloudKit frameworks. This means:

The custom keyboard

The SnipStash keyboard requests Full Access. iOS requires this permission for any keyboard extension that needs to read the app's shared container. That is the only reason SnipStash asks for it — it is how the keyboard sees the snippets you saved in the app.

Specifically, the keyboard:

The Share Extension

When you share text, a link, an image, or a file into SnipStash from another app, that content is saved to your library. Nothing else is captured, and the extension does not read anything you have not explicitly shared.

The clipboard

SnipStash writes to your clipboard when you tap Copy on a snippet. It does not read or monitor your clipboard, and does not track what you copy elsewhere.

Purchases

SnipStash Pro is a one-time purchase. Payment is handled entirely by Apple — we never see your payment details.

To manage your purchase and restore it across your devices, SnipStash uses RevenueCat, a purchase-infrastructure provider acting on our behalf. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated anonymous identifier, your App Store transaction and receipt information, and basic device and OS details. It does not receive your name, email address, Apple ID, or any of your snippet content. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

What we do not do

Children

SnipStash is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your control over your data

Because your data lives on your device and in your own iCloud account, you are in full control. Deleting a snippet removes it. Deleting the app removes its local data; to also remove synced data, delete SnipStash's data from iCloud in your device settings.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the effective date above will be updated and the revised policy posted at this address.
